The Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program (RRAP) offers financial assistance for low and moderate income homeowners for repairs and modifications that will bring their homes up to acceptable health and safety standards.

  • Homeowner RRAP offers financial assistance to low-income homeowners who require major repairs to their homes. It is aimed at people who live in substandard conditions, and who cannot afford the repairs necessary to bring their home up to a minimum level of health and safety.
  • RRAP for Persons with Disabilities provides assistance for the modification of existing homeowner and rental housing for the purpose of improving the accessibility and use of the house for occupants with disabilities.
In some cases, clients may also qualify for the CMHC's Emergency Repair Program (ERP) which is financial assistance in the form of a small, one-time, grant for homeowners in a rural location who are experiencing an emergency repair situation.

Wigwamen Non-Profit Residential Corp. delivers RRAP and ERP in the following areas:

  • Regional Municipality of Durham
  • Northumberland County
  • Peterborough County
  • City of Kawartha Lakes
