Wow!!  This is a great website.  Someone behind the scenes must be very involved, with all the pictures and updates.  Congratulations on putting together a useful and informative web presence.  It's harder than most people think.

I just want to thank the staff of Wigwamen for my cute house that I have managed to fix up and enjoy.  Thank you for the renovations you did on this house.  Just a message to pat you all on the back for a job well done.

Yours sincerely,

I'm a Toronto old-timer...  Gone for years now, but was surfing away and there you were.  Brought a warmth to my heart and a flood of memories...  May the Creator continue to watch over you all and fill you with strength and clear sight.  May peace and love be your guides...

I am passing along an idea for Wigwamen to consider.

I do not fully understand Wigwamen Inc.'s mandate, however, have you considered the "rent to own" concept?  Since present housing is to provide "transitional" support, why not look at long term schemes as well.  There may be financial opportunity for Wigwamen to sustain itself and still provide "geared to income" rental units as well as "rent to own" futuristic idea.

I'm sure there are a lot of families (whether they be one or two parent) that would like to own home, such as myself.

Good luck. Thanks.

What a wonderful site!  It is so nice to see the progress made at 20 Sewells Road and to read about all of the hard work that has been put into making this project a reality.  I've got it bookmarked to watch as it all comes together; it's very thoughtful to post all of the pictures.  Thanks!

I am really proud of what Wigwamen has accomplished in the past few years, it has been changing around for the better.  Keep up the great work and we will be the best of the bunch.  It really shows that everyone is working together and selecting carefully who you accept.  Keep up the great work, I am saying this from the heart with a lot of meaning.

LOL: Just wanted to drop a short note about your past employees page.  It looks as though you are listing the dead!  Anyhow, glad to see that I could make the list.

Newsletter looks great, and congratulations on Sewells Road.

Keep up the good work!

I'm very pleased with the kind of housing Wigwamen has provided to my son and I. Native housing has made me realize what kind of services there are for Indians. Thank you.

Sincerely,

BEST HOLIDAY WISHES TO ALL!

As a 91-year-old non-Aboriginal founding resident, I'd like to express my deep gratitude to all who have made my living at Wigwamen Terrace over the past 25 years 'just like at home'.

My appreciation for their friendliness, hospitality and personal care-giving goes out especially to the Terrace and NCCT staff and to all my co-residents who have so kindly treated me as their 'lady in purple'.

Gratefully yours,
Lidka Krouzilova

Hi guys.

Just visited your site for the first time and it's excellent. Glad to see that the Zero Balance Club I started is still going strong and that all the staff are still doing an outstanding job. Mel, if you should see this, congratulations on your retirement and best of luck in the future.

Keep up the good work.

Congratulations on hosting an enjoyable 30th anniversary barbeque for tenants, staff and directors. It was a great way to celebrate in a relaxed atmosphere and young and old alike seemed to be having a good time. Thanks to the staff for all the preparations, cooking, games and the collection of pictures of the history of Wigwamen. Good teamwork!

Marie Rogers, Director.

This is an interesting site but the downloadable application is not very clear when printed.

Web Master: Thank you for your input. We have recently updated our site and changes include an on-line application that is more readable when printed.
